Henshin Elevates Nikkei Cuisine with a Transformative Dining Experience

Situated atop three floors of The Westin Jakarta, Henshin is Indonesia’s highest Nikkei multi-level food and beverage venue, offering authentic Peruvian-Japanese cuisine and a remarkable dining experience.

The word Henshin (変身) is Japanese for “transformation”—which begins from the moment guests enter through the dramatic tunnel entrance, continuing through the rooftop bar and lounge, and finally to the dining area overlooking Jakarta’s skyline. This spirit of transformation is also reflected in the menu, where fresh Peruvian ingredients are elevated with refined Japanese techniques to create bold umami flavors and perfectly balanced textures.

Each dish is thoughtfully crafted and artistically presented, designed to deliver a sensory experience with every bite. Guests can indulge in iconic Nikkei creations such as Ceviche Nikkei—a vibrant reinterpretation of the classic Peruvian dish, enhanced by Tiger’s Milk, a bold citrus-based marinade infused with chili, garlic and herbs.
