Located in the heart of Tokaj-Hegyalja region, within the elegant walls of the Andrássy Kúria & Spa, Talu Restaurant & Café welcomes guests with a philosophy rooted in sophistication and local identity.
Its name derives from the Zemplén dialect word “talu,” meaning feather – a symbol of lightness, refinement, and connection to place. This spirit defines every dish and every moment of the Talu experience.
The kitchen is built on local ingredients, traditions, and family recipes, reimagined through modern techniques and creative interpretation. Close collaboration with regional producers ensures the freshness and quality of each component – resulting in a culinary experience that feels both familiar and surprising, timeless yet forward-looking.
The menu features classic regional and Hungarian dishes alongside internationally inspired creations, as well as options easily adaptable to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices.
Talu, recommended by the Michelin Guide and distinguished with two toques by Gault & Millau, is also closely connected to the region’s wine culture, offering a wine list of over 100 selections exclusively from the Tokaj wine region.
